Terms of Use
The rules for using Vieques Worx. Short, because there are not many of them.
Effective 22 September 2026
What Vieques Worx is
A place where employers on Vieques post work and people on Vieques apply for it. We are not an employer, an employment agency, or a party to anything you agree with somebody you met here.
We do not guarantee that a job is real, that an employer will hire, that a worker will show up, or that either side will be paid. We verify that a business exists before it can post, and that is a meaningful check rather than a promise.
Your account
One account, yours, with accurate information. A passkey is tied to your device — do not lend your device to somebody else to act as you.
Register a second passkey. There is no password to reset, so a single passkey on a single lost device is an account nobody can recover, including us.
What you must not do
- Post work that does not exist — or a job whose pay, hours or duties you have misrepresented.
- Discriminate — A posting that excludes people by race, colour, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, disability, pregnancy, marital status, or any other protected characteristic will be removed and the business suspended.
- Ask a worker for money — No fee for applying, for training, for equipment, or for consideration. This is the clearest sign of a scam and we treat it as one.
- Harass anybody — in a message or anywhere else.
- Collect other people’s information — from the app for any purpose of your own.
- Impersonate — a person or a business you do not represent.
What we can do
We can remove a posting, suspend a business, or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we refuse or remove something, we say why — an employer whose posting is taken down is told the reason, and a business that fails verification is told what was missing.
What you write here
Your profile, your postings and your messages stay yours. You give us permission to show them to the people the app is meant to show them to, and to store them so the app works. Nothing more.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Vieques Worx is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, and we do not promise that it always will be.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between a worker and an employer who met here — an unpaid wage, a job that ended, a hire that did not work out. Those are between the two of you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Puerto Rico, United States.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
